I have a 2008 KTM 450 EXC-R. It will usually e-start when cold, but rarely after it's been running. I put in a new top-of-the-line battery, but it didn't make any difference. The bike has 60 hours on it. I cannot kick start it either. It seems that there is too much compression for the e-start or kick start to get the engine turning fast enough.

ktm55. I use a 110/100-18 on my 500 which was the stock size back when I had a 525xcw. This allows me to only stock one size that fits my 2017 300xcw and the 500. The stock 500 size is a 140/80-18 but it looks very similar in actual size to the 110/100-18. Not sure how the manufacturers come up with sizing numbers.
Apr 20, 2008. Oddometer: 68. I have the 08 450 EXC-R. It runs great but seems to have a charging problem. The only extra battery draw is the optional radiator fan I installed to keep things cool.
