Probably some outdated mod has corrupted the saves, there may be conflicts, use Vortex. - Delete all .ini files inside the Fallout 4 folder in Documents except Saves and F4SE if present and restore the game files via Steam. more in this discussion.. Make sure "weapon debris" is turned off in the start up menu under options/advance settings.
Heyas 1ae. Yeah. Some people really really get into the appearance of their characters, which is one of the reasons why I brought this up. And yeah, I totally agree, it's not something that we think about.
1) Rename fallout 4's folder in steamapps. 2) Uninstall fallout 4 from steam. 3) Restart steam. 4) Rename the folder back to Fallout 4. 5) Rename your saves folder in: documents / my games / fallout 4 /. 6) Install the game again, It'll detect your game files, then download any cloud file that are stored.
the game launcher creates the folder when you run the game. game installation does not. if there are no saves and no .ini files, delete the Fallout4 folder. run the game and see if the game launcher creates the folder/files with the correct permissions. Actually there is ini and Fallout4Prefs in the folder. Just no Saves.
Hi I copied some 2015 hard copy Fallout 4 Saves from my USB and tried to load them on my digital Fallout 4 copy. They are not showing up on the save list at all on the game. I imagine the many patches and DLCs have made the saves incompatible. Thanks.
If you can load the save anyway just load it. As long as nothing is missing it may just be the game getting confused with the newer saves as the cache is all connected. It should stop once you have loaded the save the first time if that is the issue. Make a new save of that character is best if it does load.
