Slip on your Quest/Quest 2 headset and select the “Share” option located in the Oculus universal menu. Click on “Cast” and select the desired PC on your list of available devices. And boom, you’re now casting Oculus Quest/Quest 2 footage directly to your PC in real-time.
Go to Discord through your headset and make sure your Input/Mic is set to Virtual Desktop Audio! I can't really say anything about VD as I just can't afford PCVR. But I assume that this would only work if you play the game itself through VD.
The apps don’t get killed, but it’s a normal android feature to sometimes stop audio playback in the background and that’s what happens when some VR apps close. Air link is the same as using the link cable. Just set your computers discord audio input and output to the Oculus while it's plugged in. But of course then you have to be using pcvr. Low tech option is out discord on your phone and set it near you on speaker. You could even use a earbud in one ear or something.

Check your audio settings in Discord while you’re in VR and make sure the input and output are set to Oculus. Right click the volume thing (in your taskbar), open sound settings, app volume and device preferences at the bottom. If Discord says it's not running through your oculus headset, there you go. If Discord says it IS running through
