Okcool, maybe the only thing im missing is the Vag Com Programming (Step 6 from the link you posted which I will post below). Once I have this working I'll create a step by step process to convert your B6 -> B7 Key for roughly $100 total cost as a DIY without any steeler involvement.

Poweredby the car's reader coil. On this car, no. The B7 uses a challenge/response mechanism rather than a simple PIN. But put that valet key in the ignition. Do not attempt to start the engine. Go to 25-Immobilizer and show us what you have in MVBs 022, 023, and 024. That will at least show if the key is good.
