Hi there. My 2009 Peugeot 308 normally revs at idle at 800rpm. Immediately I release the brake, the revs increase to 1200 rpm without my touching the accelerator. At those revs its strong enough to drive itself. Then when I start to drive and stop at lights again, the revs drop back to 800 when the brake has been applied and then jumps to 1200 Wed 11 Oct 2023 18:38. The astra 1.6 cdti is a strong candidate but replacing the chain is £1200-2000 wheres replacing the cambelt on the 1.6 petrol is £300ish. That's why "we" keep asking.
